Results of the Family Group Conference

Well, after 3 hours of meeting and discussion, there are 2 sets of aunts/uncles who want the babies. As we understand it, 1 set will be home studied and if they pass, then the babies will move to their house. Now if they don't, the second set will be home studied and if approved, the babies will be moved to them. All of this will go on in a matter of months while mom and dad still try and get it together. I am sure at least one of the sets will be approved. From the meeting, we gathered it will take about a month to get the paperwork moving. So, looks like we will maybe have the babies for the summer at most.
The family was so gracious to us for caring for them and told us so many times thank you. And although we are saddened, it is our prayer that every child in foster care would have the chance to be with family.
We are at peace with it despite our love for the kids and know the day they leave will be so hard. But we are confident in God's plans for us to prosper and know that He is in control of all things. This was not a surprise to Him nor a mistake. Thanks for the prayers!
